Barry John

Barry John is regarded by a large number of rugby lovers and critics as the best fly half to have ever played the game of rugby union. He played for the Wales national rugby union squad and was also nicknamed ‘the King’ for his excellent skills of rugby. He was born on the 6th of January in 1945 at Cafneithin in the southern part of Wales and started playing rugby from quite an early age. Barry John made an entry in the Welsh national rugby union squad in 1966 and played his first test in the same year on the 3rd of December against Australia.

Barry John has achieved as many as 25 caps in international rugby after having played successfully through a number of years. He also achieved five caps playing for the British Lions. He played his last match against France on the 25th of March in 1972. In spite of playing for a few years, Barry John has left a mark deep enough to be regarded as one of the all time great of rugby.
