Angus Macdonald

Angus Macdonald, popularly nicknamed as Gus, is an important member of the New Zealand rugby union team. He plays in the position of a blindside flanker and is considered to be one of the best players in that position in world rugby. He is also popular among the team officials for his versatility. He is among the few players in present day world rugby who can fit himself in any position on the field. He is capable of playing as a forward in various positions like lock, flanker and number 8.

Angus Macdonald played rugby from an early age and has a rugby bloodline as both his father and uncle were also rugby players. He earned the captaincy of his province Auckland at the age of 24 only. He is regarded as one of the best players in the current New Zealand rugby union team and with his teammates, has constituted an awe inspiring forward line of the team.
