Andrew Ellis is one of the youngest players to have donned the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team shirt and emerge successful in it. He is regarded as one of the most talented youngsters who have already made a mark in the highest stage of rugby. Ellis was born in Christchurch in New Zealand on the 21st of February in 1984. He plays for Canterbury at the provincial level and made his debut against Nelson Bays in 2005. He has played 20 matches for Canterbury and also has 22 caps at the Super 14 level after the debut at that level in 2006 versus Reds.
