All Blacks Rugby Jersey

The New Zealand team is popularly known as the All Blacks. They got this name as they the team sports an all-black attire in their matches. Their jerseys have a silver fern in the front and numbers at the back.

As Adidas is the sponsor for the team they have their logo on the jersey. In the beginning the New Zealand team's dress was completely different. During their 1884 tour of Australia, they donned a dark blue Jersey with gold fern on its left side.

The All Blacks Jersey is the most famous in the world of rugby. Due to the all black nature of their dress they are easily recognizable on the pitch. Recently the All Blacks have added an embroidered poppy on their Jersey sleeve while playing against France. They did that in order to honor their brave soldiers who have laid down their lives on the battle grounds of Europe.

Most of these jerseys have a collar and have buttons at the top. Previously, the rugby jerseys were made of cotton but synthetic is mostly used nowadays. The reason for this change is that synthetic is cheaper than cotton. Polyester is also used as it is very difficult for the tacklers to grab.
