Ovidiu is a small town in Constanta county of Romania and the township administers the village of Poiana. The city is located near the Black Sea.

Constanta County is in south-eastern Romania. Ovidiu city, being quite a small one, holds almost 13,134 habitats.

Many wealthy people stay in Ovidiu Romania. The town was rechristened as Ovidiu after Ovid, the Roman poet. It is assumed that he was buried on a small island nearby which is also known as Ovidiu. It is situated in Siutghiol Lake. Ovidiu township administers the village of Poiana.

The city of Ovidiu lies at the latitude of 44° 16′ North and a longitude of 28° 34′ East. The place lies only three feet above sea level. Nearby cities and towns in the north of Ovudiu are Cogealia Gara and Lumina. In the east, there is Mamaia. Poiana and Palazu Mare border the city in the south. There are a few airports near Ovidiu. These airports are Balchik, Fetesti, Cataloi, and Constanta. Situated beside the Black sea, this town in Constanta county is a great name in the country Romania.
