Germany's weather in the northern area and south of Bavaria is marked with very little variations. One peculiar aspect of Weather Germany is that on the northwestern part of it, maritime type of weather exists while there is continental type of climate towards the East. Leaving out the north western part, the rest of Germany enjoys pleasant and cool climate through out the year.
However, during the summer months, the temperature tends to move upward almost reaching unbearable limits. For example, Berlin records a summer temperature of about 18ºC while the winter temperature falls to -1ºC.
Factors affecting Weather Germany
Even though Germany is located nearer the Equator, Weather Germany is moderate.
Prolonged periods of extreme weather conditions are very rare. This is primarily due to the cooling affects of the winds originating in the Atlantic Ocean and North Sea. These winds also accounts for rainfall in Germany. "Icelandic-low pressure system" and the High pressure system that originates in Azores also contribute significantly to the maritime type of weather.
Rainfall in Germany
Different Germany Regions are subjected to different amount of precipitation. The Northern plain receives the minimum amount of rainfall which amounts to 20 to 30 inches per year. The alp region receives the heist amount of rainfall of about 80 inches per year.
