Rain

Introduction:

Ask a child about rain and he/she will sweetly answer that it is some kind of message from God that drops down to earth from heaven, however the science behind rain tells a different story. Rain is in fact the liquid form of cloud. It is a very beautiful weather phenomenon . Due to the heat of the sun, the water from various surfaces evaporates. Then the water vapor goes up in the air and forms cloud. Then the cloud comes in the contact of cold air and gets heavier in weight. That is why the cloud then transforms into a drop of rain and due to its weight, falls down to the surface of earth. This is known as rain.

  • Role of rain:

Rain plays various important roles in the earth. Rain is one of the most important factors in the field of agricultural. A certain amount of rain is necessary for the agriculture. It helps the plants to grow and produce food. If it rains really little in a year, the agriculture is affected very much. If it doesn't rain enough, the atmosphere will become dry. The trees will die and the animals including the human beings will suffer a great deal. Rain brings moisture in the atmosphere.

    • Types of Rain:

The amount of rain varies with place to place according to the climate of different places. There are various types of rain such as Orographic Rain or Relief Rain, Convective rain or Convection Rain, Frontal or Cyclonic Rain and so on. All these types of rain depend of the various climactic conditions.
