Blizzard

Introduction:

Blizzard is a very strong weather phenomenon that is perceived during the winter. Blizzard is a kind of storm that appears with thunder and strong winds. When the blizzard appears the temperature becomes very low. Blizzards are formed due to the temperature changes in the air. Though there is an innocent beauty in the natural phenomenon blizzard, it can also become harmful to the human lives.

•  How a blizzard is formed:

The reason behind the formation of a blizzard is related to the collision between a high-pressure atmosphere and a low-pressure atmosphere. A high-pressure system in the atmosphere or a ridge sometimes moves towards a low-pressure and both of them interact with each other. At this moment the temperature of the air changes abruptly.

Blizzards often come with severe snowfalls and strong winds. It is often seen that strong blows of winds carry with them the snow that is already there on the surface of earth and produces a blizzard. So blizzard can be described as a heavy storm of snow accompanied with strong winds.

•  The horrors of Blizzard:

Sometimes blizzards can bring dangerous outcomes. If the amount of blizzard is very high, transports suffer a lot. Most of the streets are closed during heavy blizzards. Driving during blizzards is also very risky, because at that time the whole scenario becomes hazy. Sometimes blizzards can also destroy trees and harm the agriculture. United States and Canada are the places where the attack of blizzard can be perceived the most.
