Weather Fronts is a weather condition that happens only during the summer months. Mainly caused due to the interaction of and coming together of clouds, Weather Fronts are looked upon with much relief and pleasure.
Also, the phenomena of Weather Fronts happen all of a sudden. Also they are not expected to last too long either.
Cause of Weather Fronts
The basic occurrence that causes Weather Fronts is the mingling or coming together of two clouds or air masses of contrasting temperatures. On a more elaborate scale, Weather Fronts happen when two giant air masses, which travel high up in the earth's atmosphere, meet. Since these masses of air are created in the different parts of the world, they sport different characteristics. Among the important characteristics is the temperature factor. In most cases when Weather Fronts occur, the air masses that meet each other have strongly contrasting temperature types and variations. When they meet a front is formed.
After the front is formed, the two different air masses form a single air mass of a considerably lower temperature. When this newly formed front begins to move over an area, it results in a considerable cooling effect over that land area.
Types of Weather Fronts
There are basically two types of Weather Fronts. The first is the 'Warm Fronts', the second is the 'Cold Fronts'. The type of the Weather Front depends on whether the warmer cloud catches up with the cooler one or vice-versa.
