Cold Weather


Introduction:

Cold weather has different meanings in different geographical locations. Cold weather is just one of the types of weather . Generally the winter season is characterized with cold weather and the summer season is characterized with hot weather. Several cases of Cold weather in different geographical locations are discussed below.

  • Cold Weather in Coastal Region:

In the coastal regions the winter months are characterized with dry climate. The weather remains very cool during this time. On the other hand the summer months are relatively warm and humid in nature. Cold weather in these oceanic regions is very dry. Rainfall is also very little during cold weather.








  • Cold Weather in Deserts:

Deserts are known for their extreme climates. Throughout the day, the temperature remains very high. The scorching heat of the sun pervades through the desert land. The hot weather in desert is characterized with dry climate because of the dearth of rainfall. On the other hand nights are very cold in deserts. The weather becomes just opposite in the night. The freezing cold weather of the nights in deserts are really contrasting beside the hot weather of the daytime.






  • Cold Weather in Mountainous Regions:
Mountain climate is totally different from the desert climate. The weather in the mountainous and hilly surroundings is characterized with cold atmosphere. Throughout the year a cold weather reigns in these regions. The reason of this cold weather is the high altitude of these places. Another reason is the heavy rainfall and snowfall on the mountaintops. On the other hand, the summer months are characterized with a little increased temperature.
