Emergency Management is basically the programmes arranged for preventing any kind of natural calamity or disasters. There are several special Emergency Management Agencies all over the world that comes in action during these emergency situations. The sole purpose of Emergency Management is to respond to a disaster and provide aid accordingly. The responsibility of these agencies is huge.

The weather Emergency Management team prevents all disasters caused by several natural calamities. When any possible natural hazards turn into a physical event that affects human activities, it is known as ‘natural disasters'. Natural calamities can be of various types depending on the nature of the source. Earthquake, flood, tsunami, hurricanes, volcanic irruptions are some of the natural calamities.

There are some basic requirements for Emergency Management programme :

•  Helicopter and other communication facilities:

Communication facilities are perhaps the most important aid at these crisis situations. For example, if people are stuck in a house during a volcanic irruption, the best possible way to get them out of the house can only be done with the help of a helicopter.

•  Medical support:

The next most important is to provide all necessary medical support to the injured and suffering person.

•  Financial aid: Money is the fundamental requirement for all Emergency Management programmes. Most of the time the financial aid comes from the state government or other private organizations.

•  Rehabilitation: A temporary living arrangement is always organized for the people affected by these natural disasters.

Most of the Emergency Management programmes are controlled by the local or state government, but some work as an individual organization.
