Computer Imaging
Computer Imaging is the process of digitally remastering or restoring an image. This wide field of Compuer Imaging includes digital photography, composition, scanning and composition of graphic elements. It is alo known as Digital imaging.
One of the newer inventions of its time, computer imaging allows you to digitally work on an existing photograph or image. It also enables one to digitally create images with a real life effect. A Computer image may be created from photographs or can also be created by the use of various softwares and application tools. It also helps users to recreate existing images according to their needs.
Computer Imaging is an essential part of graphic designing and web designing. It is also an essential tool in animation.
Graphically Computer Imaging can be broadly classified into three types pf applications.
Raster graphics: A raster graphics image is a composition that generally represents a grid of pixels in a rectangular form on a computer monitor or any other medium of display. The tools used under this application include Jpeg, Bitmap, Jiff, Png, Image Ready, Quark Express and others.
Vector graphics: Vector grpahics is used in case of points, curves or lines generally based on geometric measurements. This is a presentation based on this aspect to represent digital images. The tools used under this application include Flash, Corel Draw, Free Hand, Illustrator and others.
Animation: Animation includes a sequential display of images of a 2 or 3 dimensional image, primairly to give it a movement. Animation can be created on Flash, Analog or Power Point.
The world of Computer Imaging is vast and requires indepth study to reveal more wonders.
