Ultraviolet Photography

Ultraviolet Photography is a process involving images that are taken using ultraviolet spectrums only. This is a photographic device where a minimum of 1 nm to 400 nm of ultraviolet radiation is necessary for proper quality pictures.

Ultraviolet Photography is mainly of two min types, Ultraviolet Fluorescence Photography and the Reflected Ultraviolet Photography. Reflected Ultraviolet Photography is widely used in theatrical applications, archaeology, medicine, criminology and dermatology, where fluorescent tubes absorb all visible light rays, allowing the desirable ultraviolet lights to pass only. It is this passing of tee UV rays that results in high quality pictures that are matchless in terms of clarity and colors.

Ultraviolet Fluorescence Photography, on the other hand, is best for archeological photography. To obtain best results, its shooting must necessarily take place in a darkened room with jet black backdrop, wearing black attires.

Specialized ultraviolet camera is required for successful UV Photography, taken in archeological activities. Its long waves help to penetrate deep down the soil to sense the presence of relics which are otherwise invisible through normal human eyes. The level of the moisture deterioration of the soils can also be realized with the help of Ultraviolet Photography. Even a concealed crack on marble artifacts or its genuineness can also be known explicitly through Ultraviolet Photography.

On the whole, Ultraviolet Photography is one of the most modern forms of photography, which has brought about a revolution in this particular sphere. The high-quality picture it delivers not only has public use, but extensive personal applications, too.

Kirlian Photography

Kirlian photography is a kind of print photography that is generally associated with high voltage. Introduced by Semyon Kirlian, Kirlian photography is done by putting the subject on a photographic plate and transferring high voltage to it that results in the outcome of corona emission and production of an image on the photographic plate. Kirlian worked on an extensive field of metaphysics that made his photographs scientifically viable.

Several eminent personalities from the field of physics and photography like Georg Christopher Lichtenberg and Nikola Tesla researched extensively in the field of photography. However the most successful researcher in this field was Semyon Kirlian, whose work led to the discovery of the terms and theories like electrography, electro photography, and corona discharge photography as a part of Kirlian photography.

Several fields of photography have been named after Kirlian like Kirlian photography, Kirlian energy and so on. Kirlian photography had that specialty of producing a halo around the subject of interest. He had that rare quality of lighting particular points of human body that are known as acupuncture points. He proved that living beings produce an energy field around them.

. His experimentation of photographing a leaf in its various stages is famous throughout the world. Kirlian's experiments with photography are well known for its scientific values and validity. Though Kirlian's claims at the beginning created controversy but later on was accepted to be justified.
