. Initially the telephones had one wire and one opening through which audio was both received and transmitted. The technological advancement has brought variation in the telephone model. The telephone that was introduced in the year 1890 had three parts, namely, candlestick, switch hook and the bell box. Then the “cradle design telephone” followed.
The most popular model came into existence with the electromagnetic receiver and carbon granule transmitter put together. The telephone model that came up in the year 1930 had both the induction coil and bell was put together in a base. The central office batteries replaced the local batteries.

The telephone network and the models advanced and grew with the technical advancements and today stands important in everybody's life with different variation and advanced set ups.

History Of Telephone

History of Telephone starts with its invention on 10th March in the year 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell. Telephone is a device that works through the transmission of electric signals. History of telephone says that the first telephone was invented and used by Graham Bell to call Mr. Watson sitting in the next room, with a message stating “Mr. Watson, come here, i want to see you.” This telephone had transmitter and an electromagnetic receiver.

From the history of telephone it is known that the 20th century telephones had liquid transmitter and were widely used in the military fields or in maritime applications. Use of carbon transmitter was more favorable as it could deliver a clear and louder voice. This phone also had an induction coil.

According to the history of telephone, dynamic transmitters or a local battery were used to power the telephones.
