However it has contracts that allows them to use the existing networks of other providers and therefore it does not maintain its own network. The Virgin Mobile company is a mobile phone service provider which operates in the United Kingdom, Australia,Canada, South Africa, the United States and France. The division at the United Kingdom is a subsidiary body of the Virgin media Inc , which was formerly known as the NTL: Telewest Incorporated. The Virgin Mobile company which is an International one acts as an independent entity everywhere and works usually in partnership with a local company who make the network infrastructure available to them.
In the United Kingdom, Virgin Mobile operates with the network of T- Mobile while the Sprint Code Division Multiple Access network or CDMA is the carrier in the United States of America. In Australia, Canada and France Virgin Mobiles operate with Optus network, Bell Mobility network,Orange network respectively. In South Africa Virgin Mobiles use the Cell C network.
