Deutsche Telekom is one of world's leading telecommunications and information technology service providers. One of the world‘s leading telecommunications companies, Deutsche Telekom in collaboration with the Technical University of Berlin, has set up a new research and development centre that is Deutsche Telekom Laboratories, in Germany's vibrant capital city Berlin.

Deutsche Telekom Laboratories are an integral part (An-Institut) of the Technical University of Berlin. Researchers and young scientists have the opportunity here to be involved in the establishment of a world-leading research institute, and influence innovation worldwide.

Deutsche Telekom is backing Web telephone-calling start-up Jajah embracing a technology that undercuts rates for the German telecommunication giant's established long-distance and mobile phone businesses.Jajah's service allows consumers to make long-distance calls for the cost of a local call.Deutsche Telekom, also operates on big fixed-line, mobile phone (T-Mobile) and broadband services (T-Online) in Europe and the United States.

Deutsche Telekom’s mobile business on its own was able to lift operating profit by 16.3 percent to 9.8 billion euros.This was an 11-percent rise in revenues to 29.452 billion euros.Their broadband business on the other hand showed a decline with a 3.6-percent drop revenue to 26.035 billion euros.
