Platinum American Eagle

Platinum coins are valuable currency mainly used for investment purposes and Platinum American Eagle is one of the most important platinum coins of all time.

The first was issued in Israel in 1973, followed by Panama in 1976. Soviet Russia started issuing platinum coins from 1977 onwards. Coming to the recent times, United States issued a Pied Fort Proof Crown Platinum Coin in 2004 for the fist time. Similar coins were issued again in 2005 and 2006.








Platinum American Eagle is an important type of Platinum coin and is also the first choice of the investors. Platinum American Eagle coins are exclusively produced in United States Mint. The “face” value of one ounce Platinum American Eagle is $100 which is the highest of all American coins. Platinum Eagles were issued for the first time in 1997 and are the only ones guaranteed by the US government for their weight and purity. This coin has a global market for it is sold and purchased in different parts of the world.
