A gold bar can be defined as a golden object with a definite shape, which bears the name of its manufacturer, the accurate figure of its weight and displays the grade of its purity. Gold bars are sold at a very low interest above the current price of gold. These gold bars are melted to manufacture other gold products such as gold sheets and foils. Even jewelleries are made from these valuable gold bars. Gold bars have international significance and so they are weighed in different nations by different units. In India, gold bars are measured in tolas, while in Taiwan, China and Hong Kong, they are measured in taels. Again in Thailand they are measured in bahts.
Types of Gold Bar
