High temperature and sharp blows can destroy the stone very easily. The Tiger’s Eye is a cut “en cabochon”. The term “en cabochon” is used in describing the cut stones with convex top and flat bottom. This actually helps in displaying the vertical stripes or bands known as chatoyancy.
In the ancient time Romans thought that the Tiger’s Eye could predict the future and would protect them in the battlefields. The Roman soldiers wore the stones in time of battle.
