Chrysoberyl

Chrysoberyl gemstone is available in different types of shapes and colors. The name of the stone is derived from a Greek word meaning “gold colored beryl”. Though the stone does not belong to the beryl family it is named so. If mixed with alexandrite, Chrysoberyl forms a different type of gem category. Basically, these gemstones are aluminium oxides consisting of beryllium. These attractive stones are available in varied colors like lemon yellow, greenish yellow, brownish green and also in honey colors. The Chrysoberyl stones are found abundantly in the countries like Brazil, Sri Lanka and East Africa.

It is also popularly known as the “cat’s eye” due to its bright ray of light on a sparkling golden setting. It is a popular belief that this magical stone protects its wearer from harmful effects. Such is its beneficial aspects that it also transforms any sort of negative energy into positive thought. This precious stone is also lucky for those who have the sun sign “Leo”. The Chrysoberyl cat's eye is a rare gemstone which shows the wonderful play of lights. Such is its dissemination of lights that the stone looks as if winking like a cat’s eye.
