Spirit of de Grisogono Diamond

The Spirit of de Grisogono Diamond is the world’s largest cut black diamond. Black Diamonds are the rarest diamond that ever existed. The diamond was set into a ring designed by the Swiss jeweler ‘De Grisogono’. The ring is admired by women of all age.

The diamond was mined in West Central Africa several decades earlier. The original weight of the rough stone was 587 carats. Soon after the Spirit of de Grisogono Diamond was export to Switzerland.

The cutting was done in Switzerland following the historical diamond cutting method of the Moghul Empire in India. It took more than a year to cut the Spirit of de Grisogono Diamond. It is considered to be the largest natural black diamond ever found. This declaration had been made by the Gubelin Gem Lab.

After the cutting was completed, De Grisogono, the Swiss luxury jeweler then set the 312.24 carats diamond into a ring made of white gold. The Spirit of de Grisogono Diamond on the ring is surrounded by 702 white diamonds weighing 36.69 carats.

The Spirit of de Grisogono Diamond ring was sold to a private client by Fawaz Gruosi, the icon jeweler and famous diamond cutter who leads the de Grisogono House of jewellery.
