The Blue heart diamond which is popularly known as the Eugenie blue diamond is presently on display at the prestigious Institute of Smithsonian. It is one of the most famous diamonds in the world. During 1910, Cartier bought this rare gem which was kept in a corsage. The Eugenie blue diamond weighs around 30.82 carat. Then again Van Cleef and Arpels purchased the gem and used it in a necklace. The necklace was priced round about $300,000 and was again sold to family of European origin .
After four years, Harry Winston got this beautiful diamond and sold it to Marjorie Merriweather Post. Later on, this lady handed over this unique gem to the Smithsonian Institute in the Washington D.C.
It was believed that the diamond Eugiene blue belonged to an empress. You can't afford to take off your eyes from the beautiful diamond. Till now, this heart shaped famous diamond is known as Eugiene diamond because it was believed that this rare gem belonged to the empress Eugiene.
