Windows 95
The Windows 95 is an operating system based on graphical user interface. Launched by Microsoft in 1995, the Windows 95 presented a significant advanced product compared to the earlier products pf Microsoft Windows.
Before it was launched, Windows 95, was referred as Windows 4.0. This operating system was launched in order to draw a connecting bridge between the MS-DOS and Windows products.
Some of the features of Windows 95 are:
- A much enhanced version of MS- DOS also known as MS-DOS 7.0
- An improved version of Windows 3.1 with graphical user interface. Some of the features of Windows 3.1 are now used in Windows Vista.
- The Windows 95 also featured a multi tasking protected mode that enables a 32-bit application.
Windows 95 was so successful in the market after its launch that it became the most eminent operating system ever produced. Its user friendly and easy operations drove DOS compatible operating systems out of the market.
Windows 95 presented the Windows Desktop Update, which was again featured in windows 98. with the launch of Windows 95, the Start button was introduced on the task bar.
All the features of Windows 95 was helpful for the users and easy to operate.
