Grail

Grail is one of the most important browsers among all the Early Browsers, which is written in the Python language. Grail is a free software application which is available in its source. It is mainly meant for UNIX but can also be used for other platforms such as Windows and Macintosh.

Features of Grail

Grail extends its support to the other types of formats and protocols along with the protocols and formats which are commonly found in HTTP, HTML and FTP. Grail also supports the features of HTML 2.0 and 3.2. It enables important documents to be printed and saved safely. It also includes bookmarks, history, frames, image maps, image printing. Grail also allows Python programs to be downloaded. This software application supports graphical aspects along with the textual content of a web page.
Latest Version of Grail Version 0.6 is the latest version of Grail, which was released in 1999. This new version is endowed with many new features which are worth mentioning. This new version, in addition of supporting bookmark, also facilitates sending parts of a particular book mark tree to another, already existing tree. This helps to exchange important bookmark information. Color selection is done with the help of “pynche” color.

All these important features Grail accounts for its increased acceptance as an effective web browser.
