Cello

Cello is one of the most important of all the Early Browsers which was developed by Thomas R of the Legal Information Institute. Bruce. Cello can be defined as a versatile and flexible Internet browser which was officially introduced on 8th June, 1993. Its flexibility and adoptability is well illustrated from the fact that Cello supports Gopher, FTP, World Wide Web and other important types of protocols.

Infrastructural Requirement of Cello

Cello needs certain basic things in order to be installed. Some of the basic infrastructural requirements of Cello that enables it to function at its best are noted below:-

  • An IBM PC with Microsoft Window
  • 386SX Chip or more
  • Proper Ethernet connection
  • Importance of Cello Cello is a World Wide Web Browser that enables the users to easily surf through the vast amount of information stored in the Internet. The users can explore huge volume of information by just following the hypertexts. Cello is a self tutor. Its online help program provides the users with all the important information about how to use Cello efficiently. Cello is well equipped with important software which supports both HTML contents and also graphical features.

    Version 1.01a was the last release of Cello which was launched on 9th April, 1994.
