Shiira

Shiira is one of the KHTML and WebKit-based browsers, which functions for the operating system of Mac OS X. Shiira aims to compete with another web browser called Safari in terms of utility and better service. It is designed by Japanese people who enabled Shiira to be used with WebKit. The leader of the Shiiro project is Makoto Kinoshito.

Features of Shiira

  • It is an open source web browser and all it source codes can be publicly accessed from the BSD license. Its code can help those developers who have other projects of Web Kit.
  • It has options of private browsing and can delete cookies and history, automatically.
  • Its toolbar is customizable with numerous search engines.
  • The flexible tabbed browsing feature of Shiira allows users to rearrange the order of tabs.
  • Its Cocoa programming gives users the advantage of a customizable drawer that extends from the left or right side of the window. This drawer comprises history, bookmarks, downloads, an RSS reader and a page holder that allows a person to access other links.
  • The browser supports PDF viewing.
  • Appearance of Shiira

Shiira has many options for enhancing its style with respect to:
