Other Browsers

Other Browsers are those web browsers that have helped common people as well as web designers and developers to make the fullest use of the Internet. Other Browsers provide sufficient means of browsing the net in a satisfactory and effective manner.

Types of Other Browsers

Some of the important Other Browsers are:

  • 3B: It uses a 3D environment to place web sites and has many interesting features.
  • Amaya: It is an open source and free web browser, which is manufactured by Opera. Later W3C adopted it.
  • Archne: It is an Internet suite which comprises an email client, a dialer and a graphical web browser.
  • Chimera: This browser runs on the X window system and for machines based on UNIX.
  • Dillo: It is a free web browser and used for small and old computer systems.
  • Hv3: This web browser supports HTML cookies, forms and frameset documents.
  • iBrowse: It is browser that is MUI-based and works for the computers from the Amiga range.
  • iCab: This browser is configurable with the Macintosh with a stable version of 3.0.3.
  • NetPositive: This browser is also known as Net+ and it operates as part of the operating system from BeOS.
  • NetSurf: This open source browser works for operating systems like Unix and RISC OS.
