Nintendo DS Browser

Nintendo DS Browser acts as a version of the web browser for Opera and it operates on Nintendo DS. The developers of Nintendo DS Browser are Nintendo and Opera Software. There are separate versions of Nintendo DS Browser, which can be used for both Nintendo DS Lite and Nintendo DS. These are popular hand held game consoles which are manufactured in Japan. The memory expansion cartridges that Nintendo DS Browser uses are 10 MB in size.


Nintendo DS Browser Releases

  • The first release date of Nintendo DS Browser was 24.07.2006 in Japan.
  • Next it was released on 06.10.2006 in Europe and it cost 30 Pounds.
  • Soon it was launched in Australia on 18.01.2007 and was priced at AU$69.95. The DS version could be bought only from Nintendo Australia because of limited stock.
  • In North America, Nintendo DS Browser was released on 04.06.2007 and the DS Lite version could be availed only from stores.
Features of Nintendo DS Browser
  • Nintendo DS Browser makes use of the touchscreen of Nintendo DS for the purpose of input. It also uses handwriting recognition, some pre-set text and an on screen keyboard.
  • There are 2 modes in which Nintendo DS Browser can render different pages and they are SSR/Small Screen Rendering and Overview.
  • It uses Wi-Fi networks to make Internet connections.
Nintendo DS Browser is a part of other browsers, and has aided numerous Japanese web sites to optimize their web pages for various hand held instruments.
