Ghostzilla

Ghostzilla is one of the current specialty browsers, which is open source and is specifically used for Microsoft Windows. It is based upon the renderer in the format of Gecko HTML, which is used by all Mozilla software. Ghostzilla makes the browser run in the window of some other application. For instance if the browser opened in Microsoft outlook, Ghostzilla would make the pages resemble the content of an email. In this way, people passing by would be tricked into thinking that the user in going through an email.

Ghostzilla Facts

The Ghostzilla project was taken out of the web site, between May 2004 and January 2005, because its writer thought that, the application of Ghostzilla was very improper. However it returned some time later, but warning people of its misuse. From February 2007, the official web site of Ghostzilla is not available any more, because of its suspension.
According to the author of Ghostzilla, this web browser bases itself on Mozilla's older version. Therefore one may find Ghostzilla with security issues which came with the later releases of Mozilla.

Features of Ghostzilla
  • The user of Ghostzilla can effortlessly hide it, because as soon as the cursor is taken away, the window of Ghostzilla vanishes.
  • This browser is rightly called “the invisible browser”, because the user can set the security to hiding level, as and when required.
All these features of Ghostzilla made it very popular when it had entered the market.
