Epiphany

Epiphany, is a web browser engineered exclusively for GNOME operating systems. GNU Network Object Modeling Environment systems or just GNOME systems are a simple alternative option for KHTML based web browsers. The epiphany web browser is a Gecko based web browser. The Gecko layout engine is a layout engine used in all Mozilla products and a few later editions of Netscape Navigator. Gecko software was written in C++ and was licensed under GPL/MPL/LGPL triple license.

Significant Characteristics Of Epiphany Web Browser:

  • Tabbed Web Browsing: Epiphany web browser brings you a better web experience because you are no longer restricted to viewing just one page at a time. Now with the facility of tabbed web browsing you can open up as many web pages as you want to. Even your homepage can have multiple tabbed pages.
  • Pop-up Blocking Option: With all kinds of advertisements jamming the screen space it often becomes a rather untidy experience to surf he web. To do away with such unwanted pop-up bars you can easily avail the pop-up blocking option to hide such pop-ups depending on the web site you are viewing.
  • Epiphany Extension System: The extension system provides for such facilities as ad-block, auto-reload ,auto-scroll, dashboard, error viewer, Image-bar, Java console, Mouse Gestures, News-feed extractor and much more.

  • OBJECTIVE: Epiphany web browser is the invention of Marco Pesenti Gritti which aims at bringing to you a very simple web browser abiding by GNOME Human Interface Guidelines.
