Dillo

Dillo is a web browser that was created with the objective of enhanced personal security, privacy, very high software efficiency and the democratization of availability of information regarding access to the Internet. The Dillo project has, as of now come to an abrupt halt because of lack of proper funding and dearth of proper full time core developers. The Dillo project claims to have an advanced port of Dillo to FLTK2 and would take off again as soon as the problems are solved.

Features of Web Browsers

The significant features of Dillo web browser include:
  • This is an alternative for a browser with many platforms.
  • The advantage of using the Dillo browser is that it is more reliable, easy for the developer to use, user friendly, relatively small, extensible and fast.
  • The source is less than 420 KB, and the binary is around 350 KB!
  • Dillo is chiefly based on GTK+ and it does not require GNOME.
  • Being a free GNU general public project, it is justly called free-SW project
  • Dillo's bug meter is a tool that matches up to the required standard and meets your needs of anti virus protections.
  • This browser program was written entirely in C.
  • Current code uses an improved HTML-parser (formerly based on Godzilla's), and almost everything else was rewritten from scratch!
