Chimera

Chimera is a web bowser that has been specially designed for the Macintosh based computers. Chimera web browser has been renamed as the Camino after the launch of its 0.60 version. The change in name was made due to certain legal complexities which surfaced due to the existence of another web browser by the same name for UNIX based computer systems. Camino, is a Gecko Engine supported browser which gives you the liberty to avail Internet services at a very high speed. All in all customer satisfaction is a guaranteed feature that comes along with the other features of the Chimera, which is now referred as Camino.

Some of the significant features of Chimera or Camino are are briefed a follows:
  • Pause and resume options for downloading facility is provided.
  • A new tab bar is incorporated.
  • Certificate support ensures a better protection of the operating system from virus interference with the data.
  • The display of advertisements and pop up bars are made optional. If you want you can hide them.
  • Bundled Java Embedding Plugin is enabled for better Java functioning.
  • A record of the favorite websites could be kept and the list could also be edited with he help of bookmark option.
  • You can now fill in your online forms without much trouble with the help of menu item or optional tool-bar icon.
  • The browser history gives you the advantage of quick viewing of the web pages you have recently viewed.
  • Gecko rendering engine (from 1.7 to 1.8) has updated for the sake of enhanced security, reliability, etc. resulting in performance, stability, and rendering improvements
