Internet Users are classified into different categories depending on the type of Internet surfing.
Basic Internet Users
In this category there are 2 kinds of Internet users :
• Browsers: They are global Internet Users who simply browse through the net during free time and consider browsing to be a part of leisure. They do not look for anything specific but whatever comes their way. They visit any web site that looks attractive or has some good information on various topics.
• Searchers: These Internet Users are more serious and they have a certain goal for Internet surfing. Their searches are more specific and usually they do not like wasting time in unnecessary searching.
Private Internet Users
• Private Internet Users use the Internet for personal work, surfing various web sites, chatting or emailing.
• If these Internet Users heavily use the Internet for long periods of time, they interact and socialize less with other people.
• Almost in every office, workers are using the Internet for faster and efficient work.
It is estimated that, there are approximately more than 1 billion
Internet Users in the world.
