Web Design
The designing and graphical presentation of content displayed on the web sites and web applications are known as Web Design. In August 1991, the inventor of the World Wide Web Tim Bernerse-Lee published the first website. Web Designing is currently considered to be one of the biggest industries of IT. The main objective of Web Design is to make the web pages interesting, attractive and interactive. Several drawing, designing and animating softwares are used for making the pages attractive as well as interactive.
Several different forms of media are used for Web Design. Initially HTML was the only “markup language” used for Web Design. It was used for creating the basic structure of a web page and making links by creating hypertext. Gradually with the development of HTML several new features were added to it. Today the basic design is still done using HTML and CSS. XHTML is the newest form of language used in Web Design. To create dynamic and interactive web sites E-Commerce and other server-side languages like PHP and ASP.
Web Design can initially be categorized as Accessible Web Design and Dynamic Web Design.
Accessible Web Design
The art of creating free and easy accessible web pages is known as Accessible Web Design. Here very simple designs are used for creating web sites so that it can be easily accessed by old or disable people.
Dynamic Web Design
Dynamic Web Design can again be sub categorized as Server-side Dynamic Web Design and Client-side Dynamic Web Design.
There two major factors behind the success of a particular website, the appearance of the pages and the accessibility. The Web Designers and Web Developers are the master minds behind the entire process of developing a perfect website.
