GoDaddy was started off by Bob Parsons. Bob Parsons in addition to being the founder of GoDaddy is also the founder of Parsons Technology Inc. He started the company GoDaddy in the year 1997. Since then the company has grown by leaps and bounds, and today it stands as the world’s largest domain name registrar, which is licensed by the ICANN or the “Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers”.
GoDaddy: Drawing in annual revenues of $ 100,000,000 approximately, GoDaddy has over the time also diversified into providing all types of web related services. Currently, GoDaddy has its head quarters in the city of Scottsdale, within the American state of Arizona.
Its fame has not been ill founded; GoDaddy has won several awards for its work too. In 2001, GoDaddy bagged the “CNET Editor's Choice Award”. Again consecutively in the years 2002 and 2003 the company was crowned with the “Name Intelligence Largest Net Gain Award”.
