E-Mail Hosting Service

The Unicode in E-Mail is a standard set by the industry that includes text and symbols that can be represented and manipulated by computers to be included in the body text of an electronic mail.

There are many email clients who support Unicode in E-mail bodies. In most of the mailing services, Unicode in E-Mail is not set as default. There are only few systems that offer the whole range of fonts and Unicode characters on display.

The Unicode in E-Mail works on all the Windows systems such as Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. Apple's Mac OS X also supports Unicode in E-Mail. Mac OS Classic did not have features that could allow Unicode before up gradation. There are also other systems such as Linux and UNIX that support Unicode.
Unicode in E-Mail is handled properly to provide a more satisfactory service to the users. Outlook Express, Apple Mail, Outlook, Mozilla, and Thunderbird have Unicode in mailing services with easy application. For sending Unicode email it is convenient for the user to compose the message first in a word processor with features that support Unicode, and then cut paste the message into an email.

If you are sending a Unicode message for the first time its better to check it once before your send. You can do this by sending a testing message to your inbox. The mail servers such as Yahoo, Hotmail, and Gmail could be used if the browser can display polytonic Greek text.
