The term E-Mail Format is a self explanatory phrase in itself. E-Mail Format deals with the various types of formats and methods that are followed while writing an e-mail. While the technical side of E-Mail Format is all important, e-mail etiquettes or ‘Netiquettes', as it is better known nowadays, are important features that need to be considered too.
A crucial technical feature of E-Mail Format is the MIME or ‘Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions'.
MIME :
The MIME is a crucial feature of the E-Mail Format . It is a sort of standard maintained in the cyber space that controls formats in e-mails such that the e-mails are capable of supporting some of the most crucial e-mail requirements. Some of the aspects supported by MIME include texts and characters, attachments in the non-text mode, e-mail headers and message contents having many parts.
Sections of E-Mail Format :
There are two crucial sections in
E-Mail Format . These two sections are called the Header and the Body. The header comprises of e-mail details such as the summary, the sender, the receiver, and other information and details related to the e-mail. The body comprises of the composition of the person mailing and is made up of text and/or attachments, sometimes with a signature too.
