History of Internet Surfing is very much related to the invention of Internet. Surfing of Internet means an action in which the users whimsically searches through a number of pages located in the web in order to find required information. Increased Popularity of Internet

With the introduction of World Wide Web, Internet began to be used increasingly. Previously, surfing was mainly done with some specific objective, like collecting of information and data. But with the further increase in the usage of Internet, people started to surf mostly for sheer fun and joy. In fact the term “Internet Surfing” usually indicates casual access to the Internet by the users.

Surfers often do not have any fixed objective to support their action. Another reason that aided in this process was the fast proliferation of cyber cafes which gave rise to a cosmopolitan culture, Cyber Culture.
