WiBro Connection
Developed in South Korea, WiBro Connection or Wireless Broadband Connection is the latest variety of mobile wireless broadband access. This wireless Internet connection is based on the same IEEE 802.16 standard as WiMax, which is popularly used in the United States of America. However, it is designed to maintain connectivity, tracking the receiver even at a speed of 37 miles per hour, which was not possible in WiMax. It is devised to overcome the speed limitations of mobile phones and to add mobility to broadband Internet. WiBro Connection bridges the wired and wireless realm by providing high-speed portable Internet access anywhere at anytime at low cost and high data rates.
Types of WiBro Services
These are the following types of WiBro Services:
- Information provisioning type services: Internet access, e-mailing, data searching etc.
- Entertainment type services: Picture transmission, Video on Demand, gaming, etc.
- Business type services: Remote approval, tele-mating, e-commerce etc.
WiBro Connection has given a different dimension to the wireless technology altogether. The day is not far when the measurements of speed, quality and reliability in the world of wireless Internet connections would have WiBro as its yardstick.
