Every geographical area has its own climatic characteristics and peculiarities. All continents has its own pros and cons. Therefore, studying the distinct geographical elements - weather and atmospheric conditions - are necessary for a traveler or a visitor before boarding on the plane.


Some of the diseases of different continents are described as follows:

North American continent comprise of Canada, United America and Caribbean Islands. The following are the diseases common in this part and consequent immunization are required before traveling:

Diseases: plague, rabies in wildlife, fever, tularemia, arthropod-borne encephalitis, seasonal influenza, Coccidioidomycosis, Histoplasmosis, CDC Influenza, Rodent-borne hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, Lyme.

Immunizations: Against diphtheria, measles, poliomyelitis, and rubella, tetanus, pertussis, mumps, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) vaccine.

South America and Africa has few diseases that a travel can encounter: Malaria, Typhoid, Yellow fever, Hepatitis B, Rabies, Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), Tetanus-diphtheria. Proper preventive vaccinations are required before making an adventurous trip.

Europe comprises of different countries with different climatic and vegetation features. Some of the common diseases include: Measles-mumps-rubella, Influenza, pneumonia, measles, avian influenza, mumps and some traits of degenerative neurologic disease. Tetanus-diphtheria vaccine and Measles-mumps-rubella vaccine are a must.

Asia, the biggest continent consists of different climatic zones with varied temperature and vegetation characters. Comprise of different longitudinal and latitudinal layers, Asia is dynamic geographical features. Some of the major diseases are: Malaria, Typhoid, Polio, Yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis, Rabies. Immunization is required for Hepatitis B, MMR, and Tetanus-diphtheria vaccine.

Australia: Diarrhea is one of the most important concerns for a traveler, while holidaying in this continent. Vaccination for Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Hepatitis B, Rabies, MMR, and Tetanus-diphtheria are a must.
