Puberty is the stage in early teenage when your body will begin to develop and change. This happens due to the discharge of a certain hormone in your body. This hormone is called Gonadotropin and it is released by the brain. Puberty prepares the body to become capable of producing babies.

Puberty usually starts some time between age 8 and 13 in girls and 10 and 15 in guys. During puberty girls and boys grow taller and stronger. They put on body weight. Guys will notice the lengthening and widening of the penis and the enlargement of the testes. Their voice also cracks during puberty. Girls develop breasts and undergo menstruation cycles. They both develop hairs in the pubic region. Puberty also leads to acne and pimple problems. Excess discharge of hormones can sometimes lead to mood swings and depressions.
