The Pan American Health Organization

Pan Health organization is one of the oldest public health agencies in America for World Health Organization, (WHO). It is also working as a specialized organization for health of the Inter-American System. PAHO is contributing in the areas of Health-welfare, in terms of promoting physical, mental and social health of the American people - from Canada in the north to Argentina in the south, including the Caribbean islands since1902. PAHO collaborates with its member states and organizations to improve the health status of the peoples of the Caribbean. It provides technical cooperation on projects helping countries to develop policies, plans and norms, training, and research.
