Located in Research Triangle Park of Northern Carolina, U.S.A., National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) acquires 375 acres of land. It is one of the 27 Institutes and centers of National Institutes of Health, a division of Department of Health and Human Services.
The mission is to reduce the encumber of human diseases and disability by studying the
Environmental issues – the development of human illness and its influence on human health. It focuses on basic science, disease-oriented research, global environmental health, and multidisciplinary training for researchers.
