Who doesn’t like to travel or visit places with family? But you don’t know what misfortune can befall on you. Travel Health Insurance plans offer several travel medical plans to travelers. When the customer buys the plan an insurance identification number is given to the customer for using in hospitals and nursing homes. The insurance company will give written documents containing information regarding coverage and implementation of policies. When you make any claim the insurance company estimates the claim and makes the payment. Some times the hospital bill is directly paid and sometimes the company makes us the payment after we have paid our bills
There are broadly two types of plans
- Fixed Benefits Plans
These policies have various advantage limits for each type of covered medical expense. There is no specification of doctors or hospitals .You can go to ay doctor or hospital. 'Inbound Immigrant', 'Inbound USA' and 'Visitors Care' are the examples of Fixed Benefits Plans
- Comprehensive Plans
In these plans there is no benefit limit based on the type of medical expense. The policy brochure contains the details of the policy including the medical expenses and the amount of policy etc.In Comprehensive Plan there is no choice of doctors or hospitals. Higher premiums have to be played in Comprehensive plans but benefits offered are higher than Fixed benefit plans. 'Diplomat America', 'Diplomat Long Term', 'Visit USA Healthcare', 'WorldMed Long Term', 'Atlas America', 'Liaison International' and 'Patriot America' are examples of Comprehensive plans
