Every woman dreams of becoming a mother. But one should know that pregnancy is a very delicate condition and it should be handled with attention and care. Pregnancy is divided into three phases and each phase is divided into three months. The phases are called trimesters. Each phase has different symptoms. Pregnancy is first confirmed by urine or blood test. Sometimes it is also confirmed by ultra sonography.

Body changes during pregnancy

  • Aches, pains, and backaches
Due to expansion in uterus there is pain in back, abdomen and groin areas.
  • Breast Changes

    During pregnancy the shape and size of breast increases. The fullness in the breast occurs for breast feeding. There is also slight pain in the breast.
  • Dizziness

    A Pregnant woman may feel drowsy all the time. This drowsiness is due to increased body weight and increase in blood vessels.
  • Hemorrhoids

    During pregnancy the veins of the rectum gets enlarged followed by pain and bleeding.
  • Leg Cramps

    Due to change in metabolism and body processes a pregnant woman can have cramps.
  • Nasal Problems

    There can be nasal bleeding due to increase in blood and change of hormones.
  • Weight gains

    Different women have different weight gains. On an average a woman gains 13 kg of weight.

  • A pregnant woman should take all the necessary vitamins and minerals every day.
  • A pregnant woman should consume 400 micrograms of folic acid each day.
  • A healthy diet is a must for every pregnant woman.
  • Little bit of exercise is necessary for every pregnant woman
  • A pregnant woman should take healthy diet and good sleep
  • Avoiding stress is very necessary.
  • A pregnant woman should always consult a doctor and go for routine check ups
