The liquid tissue which flows throughout our body is blood and it is the most important material of our body. The function of all the organs of the body depends on the smooth flow of blood. Regular blood check ups are necessary for the diagnosis of diseases. Blood is very precious. Precautions should be taken to avoid blood diseases.


Some common blood diseases

  • Anemia
    Lack of iron in food causes Anemia. Mostly women and children face this problem. Dizziness and fatigue are the symptoms of this disease.
  • Aplastic Anemia
    It is a condition in which the body stops making red and white blood cells and also platelets. Though the symptoms are common to Anemia yet the result can be fatal
  • Hemohromatosis
    This is a disease in which the body produces a lot of iron which becomes toxic and affects the liver and kidney.

  • Polycythemia Vera
    This is a disease in which the body makes too much of red blood cells and results in blood thickness. Due to abnormal thickness the movement of blood slows down. This disease can cause heart attack and stroke.
  • Thalasemia
    It is a hereditary disease and few red blood cells than normal is the cause of this disease.Alpha and beta are the two types of Thalasemia. Blood Transfusion, Iron Chelatin Therapy, Bone marrow transplant and surgery are some of the treatment given for this deadly disease.
  • Pulmonary Embolism
    A sudden blockage in the lungs by a blood clot can cause Pulmonary Embolism. It can damage the lungs and other organs of the body. The supply of oxygen to the different parts of the body is also reduced.
  • Von Willebrand Disease
    This is a disease in which a person bleeds continuously after an accident or injury. It is a hereditary disease.If you have any blood disorders then its better to go for blood tests because it is better late than never.
