Established in 1791, the Royal Veterinary College is the most ancient and biggest Veterinary College in the UK. It has become a part of the University of London since 1949. The College is located on 2 campuses: the Camden Campus at London and the Hawkshead Campus in Hertfordshire. The College has received very high ratings for the quality of teaching and veterinary services it imparts from Accreditation agencies in the UK and abroad.

Scholarships
The College will be offering the following bursaries for undergraduate students for the 2007-08 session:
- £1500 for Veterinary Medicine
- £1500 for Combined Veterinary Medicine/BSc
- £1500 for BSc Veterinary Sciences

Facilities
Besides housing a whole host of books on Veterinary Medicine, the College has a section known as the Historic Collections. Historic Collections comprises:
- Books, journals, manuscripts and artifacts accumulated since the inception of the College in 1791. These items offer an insight in to the history of the Veterinary Sciences in England and other English speaking nations.
- Photographic Archive
- Paper Based Archive
The College has an excellent Clinical Skills Centre where students can practice their veterinary skills. Students have to work in pairs at their workstations in this Centre and test and learn from each other while following checklist. An expert is present to answer their queries and assuage their doubts.
95% of first year students can avail of the accommodation at the College's Halls of Residence.
The College Grove Hall in the Camden Campus of the Royal Veterinary College accommodates students in 7bedroom flats with common kitchens. Each bedroom has a telephone and a computer point.
