The Roehampton University got its university status in the year 1975. Its student strength is around 8000. The University of Rhoehampton is made of four colleges and its single students' union maintains a strong sense of community among all four of them. The three campuses the University of Rhoehampton are North Campus, South Campus and Mount Clare Campus.

Both on campus and off-campus accommodation facility is available to the students. Scholarships are available only to the international students. The two scholarships are Lumley Scholarship and Commonwealth Shared Scholarship.
The university provides proper IT and Media Services to the students. The library has an e-learning service and a Library Academic and Research service.
