Established in 1898 and affiliated to the University of Liverpool, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine has been a pioneer in field of tropical health. The School has widespread associations with the UN, NGOs and other organizations. The School is situated at Pembroke Place off Daulby Street in Royal Liverpool.

Scholarships and Fellowships
Most of the Scholarships and Fellowships offered by the School do not cover more than 50% of the course fees and do not cover maintenance expenses.

- The Thomas Mark Fund: This provides a student financial support and scholarship for Tropical Pediatrics programs
- The Gwendolen Clayton Memorial Fund: This provides for fellowships and scholarships in any course of the School
Facilities
The Library of the school had its beginning in the year 1898, the same year in which the School was founded. Some of the amenities provided by the library include:
- Loan of books, journals and laptops
- Access to electronic resources
- Interlinked computers
- Right to use the wireless network (RoamNet)
- Theses binding
- Study areas for students
The Students Union Office is only a short distance away from the School Campus. The Union encourages students to mingle and interact by conducting a host of social events. The Liverpool University Sports Centre is open for all students. Students’ families may also be members of the Sports Centre.
The School arranges for the accommodation of its students in nearby hostels. Single rooms are available in these hostels. Some of them have attached bathrooms too. Students must indicate their need for accommodation early in the Application process as the rooms in the hostels get booked quite swiftly.
