Heythrop was originally a religious foundation which was set up in the year 1614 by the Society of Jesus for training of its own members.Since 1970,it has been a college under The University of London.Heythrop is a specialist college that offers undergraduate and post graduate degrees in subjects like Theology,Philosophy,the combination of the two and also a combined Psychology degree.The library of the college is housed in two buildings with a collection of lakhs of books on Theology,Philosophy and other Social Science subjects (http://www.heythrop.ac.uk/library/).The library provides photocopying facilities and computer terminals (INNOPAC) to the students at both the library buildings.Private rented residential accommodation are offered by landlords and letting agencies for The University of London Heythrop College.These are at close proximity to the Heythrop College.Scholarships are granted to the students of the college on the basis of performance and merit and are operational at both the levels of education.
